Last post reminds me, that among the things conveniently forgotten now we have the MPs' expenses scandal, is not only the recession and swine flu, but also the whole issue of policing of protests and spying on activists.

hmmm ... going back to the UK means back to one of the most surveilled (if that's a real world) countries in the world.

Privacy is nearly dead.

As I'm a well-known hater of America's freedoms, I have no hesitation in urging people to Vote Republican, this fall.

Sadly, I'm not quite such a hater of freedom in the UK, so not sure exactly who to suggest you vote for to avoid this. Liberal Democrat I guess.
